Sun, skin disorders, aging and even heredity can all contribute to skin irregularities on the face and elsewhere on the body. These include textural irregularities like wrinkles and acne scars, pigmentation changes like freckles, sunspots or visible blood vessels. In addition, skin may lose tone, feel less firm and lose the healthy glow that is evident in younger skin.

E-Light Laser Skin rejuvanation can improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles of the entire face or those that develop in specific regions of the face, such as the upper lip and around the eyes.

Before the treatment:

  • Avoid excessive sun exposure or tanning beds for at least two weeks prior to the treatment. Sun damage can increase the risk of skin irritation and hyperpigmentation after the procedure.
  • Avoid certain medications: avoid taking certain medications, such as aspirin, ibuprofen, and blood thinners, for at least two weeks before the procedure. These medications can increase the risk of bruising and bleeding.
  • Avoid topical products: avoid using any topical skincare products that contain retinoids, alpha-hydroxy acids, or beta-hydroxy acids for at least one week prior to the treatment. These products can increase skin sensitivity and may cause irritation during the procedure.

        After the treatment:

        • Avoid sun exposure and wear sunscreen.
        • Do not pick, scratch or squeeze at any scabs or dry patches that may form on the skin.
        • Use a gentle cleanser: Do not use harsh or abrasive cleansers on the treated area for at least one week after the procedure. Also avoid using any products that contain retinoids, alpha-hydroxy acids, or beta-hydroxy acids.
        • Apply a gentle moisturizer to the treated area to help soothe and hydrate the skin.
        • Avoid strenuous exercise or activities that cause excessive sweating for at least 24 hours after the procedure.
        • Avoid direct sun exposure for at least one week after the procedure and should wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30 when going outside.
