How the removal works…

The explosive effect of the SL Lasers™ machine spreads through the epidermis into the dermis and takes effect on pigment mass. The laser pulses are extremely short in nanosecond and comes with super high energy, the pigment mass swells quickly and breaks down into small pieces. These small pieces are eliminated through metabolism. This results in the pigment becoming lighter gradually and finally disappears. The number of treatments and treatment intervals will be determined by the type and intensity of the removal needed.

During a tattoo removal procedure, the area is numbed beforehand, the laser light is applied to the tattooed area of the skin. The light is selectively absorbed by the tattoo ink particles, leaving the surrounding skin tissue and chromophores unharmed. The tattoo ink particles absorb the laser energy, heat up, and shatter into smaller ink particles. These smaller ink particles are then recognized as waste by the body and eliminated through the lymphatic system.

Common side effects of laser removal include blistering, scabbing, itching, and redness. Scarring can be the result of the original tattoo process.
